Every ship has her captain, and the Good Ship BABBLE is no exception. Skipper Jenny Sowden has sailed 9 years with BABBLE, including 8 years at the helm. She charts a course by starlight and, with NYC’s dance organizations, bands, and her faithful crew, joyously steers us swashdancebucklers to where x marks the spot for the three treasures of legend: Blues, Balboa, and ye olde Lindy Hoppe. Michael Blank (BABBLE Designer)

Michael Blank is the most BABBLEicous Michael we’ve ever met. Perhaps it’s because his name, Michael Bob* Blank, is an anagram for Macho BABBLE Link (clearly). Whatever the reason, when we need an amazing designer to create the art that will embody this year’s awesomeness, we think of only one man. One Michael. Michael Blank.

Kristin Walker (Product Master)

You might say there’s a steely edge to BABBLE Product Master Kristin Walker--a steely guitar pick edge, that is. She’s the genius behind last year’s beautiful weekend passes-as-jewelry, and she’s set to repeat this artistic feat in 2015, engraving each pass-holder’s name on their own pass. Knowing a modern-day smithy has never been so cool.

If you’ve got your eyes on the prize for BABBLE’s comps, then Red LaBonte is in your peripheral vision. Red lines up all the excellent prizes we give out to our fancy-footed competition finalists.
